Do you collect work that is in physical form?
Yes, using our own vehicles or those of our scanning partners.
What is the typical turnaround time?
From 1–2 days for straightforward work such as proofreading papers to 4–6 weeks or more for collaborative editing projects and high-volume project-managed image editing. We can give a more accurate estimate upon sight of samples and based on the information requested on the Pricing page.
Where are you based?
We are based in Faversham, Kent, UK. We provide editing services to customers in Kent, London, Surrey, Sussex, Essex and throughout the UK.
How do I send you my work?
For small jobs in digital format (up to 5MB) and samples, email is fine. For larger or repeating jobs, upload to Gillard Editing’s secure ftp site is best. Just contact us in advance for login details. For physical delivery we have various addresses depending on the requirement; details upon request.
Why the cogwheels?
Gillard Editing has a strong technical background, and we make use of specialised techniques behind the scenes such as macros, optical character recognition and other pattern-recognition systems.

The Difference Engine is considered to be the forerunner of the modern computer. Alongside is a picture of a replica at the Science Museum.
